Brain Awareness Week is coming March 12-18, 2012. This year our feature event will be a scientific visit and public presentation by Dr. Adrian Owen from Western University in London, Ontario on March 15 and 16. Dr. Owen was recently recruited to Canada from Cambridge University as a Canada Excellence Research Chair (CERC) in Cognitive Neuroscience and Imaging. He is coming at the invitation of the Winnipeg Chapter Society for Neuroscience, the Faculty of Medicine and the President of the University of Manitoba.
Dr. Owen will be visiting with our faculty members and participating in several featured events. This is a tremendous opportunity to showcase research and training excellence in Manitoba to one of the country's most high profile research talents.
